I wanted to create a Memory series for a long time:
- Reflecting on my life, about its ups and downs, the places I have been and the people I have met;
- Observing the chaos in the world and my desire to feel grounded by reconnecting in thoughts and emotions with the people, places, and events that shaped who I am now.

I use digital painting and collage techniques to create the images. Encaustic imparts a layered transparency evocative of the flow of time. Muted colors are reminiscent of early or faded photographs and of the diffused light in our remembrances and some of our dreams. |
