Danielle Fafchamps

Born in Belgium,  Danielle Fafchamps worked and traveled in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. She began her artistic studies in California at Cañada, San Mateo and De Anza Colleges then at the Pacific Art League and the Art Center in Palo Alto. 

The mark of the maker and serendipity give her work its humanity and value. The mark of the maker are tool marks and the search for simplified forms and authenticity. Serendipity is the essence of the artistic endeavor: She starts with an idea and integrates the unexpected into her work.

In her practice, technique is a means to an end. Her work is about the transference of personal experiences and emotions. The emotion and memory a sculpture invokes in the viewer is what matters. Her work is collected in the USA,  Europe and Mexico.
